Underage Drinking Survey

Dear Parents and Community Members:

Cornerstone Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission and the Abbeville County Coalition for a Healthy Community have received a grant to implement underage drinking prevention activities in Abbeville County.  The first step in this process is to gain information about the prevalence of the problem and to assess the needs of the County.  As a result, Cornerstone and the Abbeville County Coalition are asking that you complete an anonymous survey to generate information from the community about the problem.

This survey will take about 5 - 10 minutes to complete.  It will ask you about your perceptions about underage drinking in Abbeville County.  If you are 21 years of age or older and a resident of Abbeville County, please complete the survey “Age 21 and Older.”  Parents, if you would like for your child to complete the survey, have them complete the survey for “Under 21 Years of Age.”

There should be no risk to you in completing the survey.  Your responses to the survey will not be connected to you, and they will remain anonymous.  Your participation in this survey is completely voluntary.  You may choose not to answer a question, and you may quit the survey at any time.  There are no right and wrong answers.  If you are unsure how to respond to any questions, please mark your best guess as much as possible.  If you feel strongly that you do not know which response to provide, you may mark "don't know."

This information will be used in planning for programs and how to best target services.  The following is the link to the survey:
