Carpentry

Instructor: William Eddy Stone

More than a required course or elective, Carpentry is both an adventure and a career! During each school year, students enrolled in Carpentry construct an actual 1350 square foot house. The two-year Carpentry program introduces students to the duties and activities of residential and basic commercial construction. A student's first year is devoted to, but not limited to, an introduction to the building world. Emphasis is on safety, use and care of hand and electrical tools, and related mathematics. During the second year, students continue with computerized house plan layout and design. Both years are filled with hands-on learning of many different projects related to building construction. If you are seeking a new and different type of learning, join the Carpentry team! Drive a nail and saw timbers for your dream home and prepare yourself for the future!
