P.A.E.S. stands for Practical Assessment Exploration System and is for Abbeville County tenth grade students seeking an occupational diploma. The primary purpose is to give students an opportunity to explore a wide range of "hands-on" skills that they will encounter in career and technical education classes and/or future employment. Students experience activities in Business/Marketing, Home Consumer Science, Industrial Technology and Manipulative Processing & Production. Students receive basic skills training in the use of equipment, materials, and work processes that are essential for successful participation in regular Abbeville County Career Center classes. P.A.E.S. activities help students explore their own interests and abilities so they may begin the decision-making process that leads to a successful career.
